Week of the Young Child ®
Week of the Young Child ® is NAEYC’ s signature annual public awareness celebration, held every spring since 1971. The celebration, which grew out of successful state and local observances pioneered by NAEYC Affiliates beginning in the mid-1950s, draws attention to the needs of young children and their families. This year, we begin the celebration 100 days into our centennial year. Join the fun!
› April 11 – 17: On the 100th day of NAEYC’ s 100th year, we’ re turning up the joy with a whole week of music, art, play, and pride in early learning. Whether you are celebrating for the week or the entire month, share your activities by tagging NAEYC on social media and using the hashtags # WOYC26 and # NAEYC100.
