This year’s Annual Conference is one you don’t want to miss as we gather in Washington, DC, December 5–8 to celebrate 100 years of NAEYC. This year’s conference begins on Saturday, which will allow more people to attend without missing work.
If you’re a first-time conference attendee, there are so many ways to make the most of it. Here are just a few recommendations.
Plan: Download the Whova app to start building your personalized schedule. If you’re double- or triple-booked, make some hard decisions about which sessions to attend—or wait to see which one moves you in the moment.
Connect: Find colleagues from your state or across the country, and reach out to schedule a meet-up. Plan to join NAEYC staff and our wonderful vendors in the Expo Hall to ask questions, shop for a book or T-shirt, or pick up some swag to take home.
Learn: NAEYC’s Annual Conference is built for you and the career you’re building. Our sessions cover the latest research, early learning strategies, and standards behind good practice, and many are CEU-eligible.
Celebrate: Don’t forget to join us for an after-dinner party on Monday, December 7, to celebrate NAEYC’s centennial. The evening starts in sequins and saxophones and ends with a dance party as we celebrate a century of showing up for children, families, and each other.
Share: Throughout the conference, don’t forget to share the fun with your networks back home or online by using #naeyc100 and #naeycAC.
Whether it’s your first Annual Conference or you show up every year, make this one the best yet!
